Sheila -Age 18

"Lift Saver Ministries has not provided me with a shelter, but a home. In this home, I can feel God's love. Also, l feel like I am part of a family. With the support and encouragement and love I am receiving, I can accomplish my goals and become an educated, independent, good Christian mother. Without them, I don't know where my son and I would be today."

Rosemary - Age 18

"I was living in foster homes because I was an orphan. I moved from foster home to foster home. The DSS was a big part of my life. When I became pregnant, I ran from the state because I didn't want them to take my baby away. The baby's father was in and out of the picture. On my eighteenth birthday, I had nowhere to go. I thought I was going to be homeless. I called a place called "Heartbeat" and someone there brought me to My Father's House, where I met Cathie and Kevin. It was either move into My Father's House or be on the street. Before I moved into My Father's House, I thought my only option was to give up my baby. I didn't want to do that, but I didn't know what else to do. My Father's House had so much to offer me, and I decided to keep my baby. If it wasn't for My Father's House, I wouldn't have been able to keep my child, and I would be on the street."

Delisile - Age 20

"When I came here from Swasiland, I ran into problems. There was not enough money for my fiance to come here. I didn't make enough money for an apartment, even though I was working two jobs. I found myself in the hospital with a baby and nowhere to go. A friend made some phone calls on my behalf, and gave me the phone number for My Father's House. Living at My Father's House has made my life a lot more stable. Not knowing where you are going is scary. Living here gives me space to think about how I'm going to work things out. I can go back to school. I have more freedom to work out solutions for other things that need to be done to get my life organized."

Valerie - Age 17

"Without Life Saver Ministries, I wouldn't have a home."
